Kuly Passes Away… But RDB Will Live On.

Early this morning (23.05.12) the world learnt of the loss of 1/3 of magical musical trio RDB, whose main aim was to bring Rhythm Dhol and Bass to the masses – something that they achieved massively well and successfully the world over; now known as being one of the leading South Asian producers, musicians, singers and entertainers in the entire world.

The passing of Kuldeep Singh Ral, better known as Kuly, is a massive shock to the Bhangra music scene, fans and fellow artists all around the world, with so many laying out tributes and messages of condolence via social media platforms Facebook and Twitter especially.

Having worked with so many global artists including the likes of hiphop-meister Snoop Dogg and one-one-one with Bollywood star Akshay Kumar, their diversity and ability to blend unique bhangra sounds with many other different genres is what made RDB such a world-wide success. Hiphop being Kuly's favourite style of music is one genre that the threesome smashed it up with time and time again and it is undeniable that this is truly a loss to the music scene on the whole.

The Kudos Music team remember Kuly as a bright and bubbly character, someone who always had a smile on his face and never failed to make the people around him laugh. A talented and eclectic producer, we were blessed to have Kuly grace our studios in Slough and this is one memory the team here will never forget.

This is an extremely difficult time for Kuly's family, friends and fans everywhere so our solemn and sincere condolences go out to everyone that has been affected and saddened by this devastating loss. Another musical legend has been lost this year and just a couple of weeks before his birthday too.
Rest in Peace Kuly Ral. We know that you will live on through your Rhythm, Dhol and Bass forever.
