Kudos Music Support The Punjabi Wolves In Their Latest Charitable Venture

The Kudos Music team loves to see people making a difference in the world. Small steps lead to giant leaps; believing wholeheartedly in this, we know that every little helps which is why we try and support these people as much as we can.

Punjabi Wolves are a football supporter group with a broad and diverse membership base. Primarily concerned with supporting the Wolverhampton Wanderers, the Punjabi Wolves like to play their part elsewhere in society too, which is why they organised a charity bike and rickshaw trek from Molineux, Wolverhampton to Buckingham Palace in London to commemorate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.

This took place over two days on the 1st and 2nd June 2012 and was a truly unique and different way of celebrating the Queens 60th year in reign, while raising much-needed cash for five different charities.

Despite suffering four accidents, a three-man pile up, two punctures and perforated tyres amongst the aching limbs, bruises and tiredness, the Punjabi Wolves made it to London greeted by three traditional dhol players; ending their trek in true Punjabi style! Donations from the crowd, well-wishers, tourists and ordinary shoppers took their fundraising amount well over their target of £10,000 to over £20,000 so for that Kudos Music would like to say a massive congratulations!

The Kudos Music team donated £150 to the cause aswell which will be split across the following five charities:

- Promise Dreams: A charity launched in 2001. They raise money for children who are seriously or terminally ill and provide treatment, help and support for both them and their families. Whether the child would like a holiday, a toy, medical treatment or equipment, or even the chance to meet their favourite celebrity, Promise Dreams is dedicated and committed to help.

- MS Society: Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a neurological condition which affects around 100,000 people in the UK.
Most people are diagnosed between the ages of 20-40, but it can affect younger and older people too. Almost twice as many women have MS than men.

- Brittle Bone Society: Founded in Dundee in 1968 the Brittle Bone Society is the only UK wide organisation providing support to people affected by the bone condition Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI). Offering help and support to members.

- The Haven Wolverhampton: Set up in 1973, The Haven Wolverhampton is a charitable organisation which provides safe, temporary, emergency accommodation and support services to women and dependent children affected by Domestic Violence and Homelessness. The Haven Wolverhampton is one of the largest independent charities in the United Kingdom and is also one of the largest refuges in the country.

- India Project: A Charity set up by Punjabi Wolves that helps the poor and homeless in India by building houses, providing medication for the sick and setting up medical camps in villages.

Some of the money raised will also go towards the Punjabi Wolves annual ball and well deserved it is too!

What this group of boys has done here will definitely make a difference where it is needed most so for that we commend them. Congratulations once again from the Kudos Music team and we hope these boys keep making us proud in the future.
